The Lee College Opera Theatre, directed by James Frost, will present its Musical Revue, “The Present Should Go On” on Sunday at 3 p.m. The general performance will take spot in the Dixon Middle, alongside with getting livestreamed.

“The Present Need to Go On,” directed by Dr. ChoEun Lee, will attribute Jason Robert Brown’s “Hear My Song” from “Songs for a New Globe,” together with selections from “Company,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “Godspell.” 

“I am so happy of what the college students have achieved for this Musical Revue,” said Professor Frost. “In my absence with COVID, the pupils have finished almost everything to make this efficiency take place. They have worked seriously hard separately and in teams, and I know it will be a terrific Revue.”

The Musical Revue will be accompanied by Rachel Appleton, new music team member, on piano.

Professor Frost is an affiliate professor of voice at Lee. He has executed in Germany as effectively as at several opera firms in the United States this kind of as the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Boston Lyric Opera, the Kennedy Center’s Washington Opera Organization, and the Central City Opera Property Affiliation in Colorado.

Dr. Lee is an assistant professor of collaborative piano and vocal coaching at the university. In addition to doing the job extensively in recitals and masterclasses with renowned musicians, she has presented numerous performances in Korea, the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand, and in key venues these as Carnegie Corridor, Tanglewood Songs Center, and Songs Pageant of Lucca.

Lee’s Opera Theatre commenced in the spring of 1998 as a workshop and has grown into a production corporation carrying out a Musical Revue in the tumble semester, a fully-staged opera from the two common and less common repertoire in February, and Opera Scenes through the spring semester.
